John & Farrah
The Owners
Farrah, the step-daughter of David Ripp, the former owner of Nightingale Supper Club for 36 years, along with her husband John, took over the reins of the establishment in 2021. Their transition to ownership came after their pivotal roles in navigating the business through the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
Farrah's connection to the restaurant runs deep, having worked summers there since her high school days. Despite earning two master's degrees in Neuroscience, her passion for the culinary world led her to embrace the life of a restaurateur. On the other hand, John, though new to the restaurant industry, brings valuable expertise with a bachelor's degree in business and prior management experience.
To ensure the Nightingale's financial stability and support ongoing renovations, Farrah and John maintain their "day jobs," while also lending their hands wherever needed within the restaurant. From washing dishes to cooking to bartending, they embody a hands-on approach to management, striving to uphold the Nightingale's legacy while adapting to the evolving demands of the industry.
