A Tradition Since 1913
The Nightingale Supper Club, located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, has a rich history dating back to the early 20th century. Here's a brief overview of its journey.
Establishment and Early Years
The Nightingale Supper Club began its journey in 1913, initially starting as a café. Over the years, it has become an integral part of the local community in Sturgeon Bay, offering a unique dining experience that combines history and flavor.
Ownership and Management
For over three decades, the Supper Club was guided by Dave Ripp and his family. They played a significant role in refining and maintaining the quality and tradition of the establishment, making it a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike. In August 2021, the ownership of the Nightingale Supper Club passed to Farrah Tafacory and her husband, John Heikkila, who purchased it from Farrah's stepfather, Dave Ripp, thus keeping the business within the family. They are only the 7th owners in over 110 years.
Renovations and Modernization
The Supper Club has undergone several changes over the years. It was rebuilt in 1972 after a fire and later remodeled in 1990 and again in 2021. Despite these updates, the Nightingale Supper Club has consistently maintained its classic "Supper Club" atmosphere, upgrading its facilities annually to enhance the dining experience while preserving its historic charm.
